Saturday, December 23rd
We will greet you at Whitehorse International Airport and bring you to your hotel in downtown Whitehorse. In the evening we will visit the Takhini Hotsprings. Did you ever soak yourself in a hot water pool outside at - 30°C ?
About 10 pm we will pick you up and take you to our ranch where a warm cozy cabin awaits you. While watching for the Aurora Borealis, hot drinks and snacks will be provided to make the evening more comfortable. At 2 am we will drive you back to your hotel.
Sunday, December 24th
You can sleep in after the late, exciting night and we will join you after lunch and bring you to see the famous Yukon-Quest musher, Frank Turner. You will go over a section of the Yukon-Quest trail with a team of up to 6 dogs. Mushing on the frozen Takhini River, with its spectacular cliff and landscapes, is perfect for the novice musher. In the evening we will relax in a heated traditional walltent and again watch for the northern lights.
Monday, December 25th
Today we head north to a frozen lake, where we will dig holes in the ice and try to fish for some of the very tasty lake trout. You will each have your own ice fishing equipment. We will spend the day on the ice and make some remarkable tracks with traditional snowshoes. This is a great opportunity to take pictures of your adventures to share with your family and friends when you return home.
In the evening we will watch for northern lights again.
Tuesday, December 26th
We will pick you up at the hotel and give you a guided tour of the Yukon capital, Whitehorse. When you return home from our winter wonderland you will have unforgettable images and memories to share with loved ones.
